Caramel Fudge Brownies
A delicious change in flavour for your basic gluten free chocolate brownies! Two ways to enjoy the delicious Caramel Fudge Brownies by Orgran.
- 1 package Orgran Caramel Fudge Brownie Mix
- 2 teaspoons Orgran No Egg™ Egg Replacer, prepared as per packet instructions
- 120 grams dairy-free butter, melted
Preheat oven with fan to 165°C. Grease and line a 20cm square tin. In a large bowl add the brownie mix, No Egg mixture and melted butter. Whisk until ingredients are well combined. Pour batter into brownie pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or according to desired texture. Cool in the tin for 5-10 minutes before removing and allow to cool further before cutting into squares
Additionally, you can enjoy the brownie as it is or if you feel like treating yourself, add a piece on top of your ice cream with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce!
Here is how you can make a delicious salted caramel sauce to enjoy with the Caramel Fudge Brownie!
- white sugar
- vegan butter
- full-fat coconut milk
- sea salt
Heat up sugar in a heavy based pan. Also, ensure you are stirring constantly. Be careful not to let it burn! After it is melted completely (should be a caramel-like colour), add in your choice of butter and incorporate the mixture. Slowly pour in the coconut milk and mix well. Allow it to boil until it has thickened. Add in salt to taste!
Wonder why there is no specific amount to follow? This is all depending on your taste! You can add more coconut milk if you want a richer taste. You can add more sugar for a sweeter taste. Also, you can also add more salt to have that kick in all that sweetness and so on. Perfect for tea time, with a cup of coffee or tea!
