Homemade Mix Sprouts Falafel

A wide variety of falafel mixes options are available to you Sprouted garbanzo beans combine with fresh garlic, onion, yummy spices, almond meal and chia seeds to create the flavors and textures you expect from falafel without any processed flour or fried oil. In addition to all falafel recipes, I simply got way too frustrated since not only can two types of beans be used but also many variations of spices – so I am seeking the falafel spices mix to grind and make this Homemade Mix Sprouts Falafel. ORGRAN Falafel Mix is a versatile and delicious mixture which is ideal for veggie burgers, salads and lunches.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of mixed sprouts (green chana, red chana,moong)
  • Some Freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • Chopped onions 1 cup
  • Chopped garlic 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Freshly chopped mint leaves
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread crumbs for binding (optional)
  • Cabbage leaves
  • Hummus (as required)

Directions:

  • Be ready with all the ingredients
  • In a mixer jar, grind coarsely the mixed sprouts, onions, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garlic, cumin seeds, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and salt
  • Once done transfer to a bowl
  • Meanwhile, heat oil for deep frying. Add baking soda or fruit salt and gently mix the mixture. Take a small portion and shape them as you desire. Now Deep fry them on low flame. Once done remove them on a tissue paper
  • Place the cabbage leaves on the serving plate. Place a spoonful of hummus. Sprinkle some red chilli powder
  • Finally place the fried falafel on top of the hummus
