Nutritious Chia Seed Drink
This morning elixir is delicious, nourishing, and refreshing. This apple cider vinegar and nutritious chia seed drink is a great way to start the morning!
This drink may not be for everyone as it definitely has an acquired taste. If you often drink kombucha (tea), you probably would not mind the tart flavour of the drink. However, if you mind it, you might need to take some getting used to it. You can sweeten the drink with a little raw honey or stevia.
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 lemon (juice only)
- A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (raw, unfiltered)
- A cup of warm water (Up to your taste)
Mix all the ingredients together. Let it rest for 5 – 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let the chia seeds form up into a gel-like consistency. Add a little sweetener of your choice and enjoy!
Drinking chia seeds water or including chia seeds in your daily diet can reduce the risk of developing heart disease. Chia seeds are very rich in fibre, antioxidants, minerals, and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
