Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizza

Pepperoni Pizza

Always a possibility when you have our pizza crust mix on the shelf! Making a crust has never been so quick and easy. It is an American variety of salami, made from cured pork and beef mixed together and seasoned with paprika or other chili pepper. Characteristically soft, slightly smoky, and bright red in color. Thinly sliced pepperoni is a popular pizza topping in American pizzerias.

Besides that, you should enjoy 1, 2 or 3 slices of it while it’s still nice and hot! This classic pepperoni pizza will become a staple in your dinner rotation, I promise!

Ingredients

  • 454g lukewarm water
  • 12g sugar
  • 9g active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • 18g salt
  • 25g olive oil (optional)
  • 660g to 720g King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, enough to make a soft, smooth dough
  • 12g Pizza Dough Flavour (optional)

Steps:

  1. Dissolve the sugar, yeast, and salt in the lukewarm water (and olive oil, if you are using it. Add the flour (and Pizza Dough Flavour, if you are using it), starting with 660g of flour and adding more as necessary to make a soft, smooth dough. Knead the dough using your hands or a mixer until it is smooth and elastic. About 7 to 10 minutes. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl or other container, cover it, and let it rise for 1 to 2 hours. Gently deflate the dough and divide it into four pieces for a medium crust pizza. Additionally you can divide into 3 pieces for a thicker crust. Roll out the dough into a shape that can fit your baking pan or a 12″ pizza pan. Let the dough rest several times to relax it and make it more cooperative.

  2. Place the pizza dough onto the baking sheet or your pizza pan to prepare for the next step. Preheat your oven to 230 degrees Celsius. While it is heating up, get out your topping and get creative! We recommend using pepperoni, sauteed mushrooms, onions or peppers, olives and of course shredded cheese. Brush each crust with a bit of olive oil, spread tomato sauce on the surface and start putting your choice of toppings.

  3. Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown. Be careful and ensure to let the pizza rest for about 10 minutes after cooking.

! Happy Trying !
