Livio Felluga Sauvignon – A variety originally from France, Sauvignon has introduced into Friuli under the Hapsburgs and became widely planted in the early 20th century. The white wine is also refreshing and captivating, with a generously wide, distinctive range of aromas, with notes of exotic fruit, yellow pepper, tomato leaf, mint and box hedge notes. Therefore, it’s a traditional wine from Friuli.
This variety has French origins and it seems that it was introduced in Friuli during the Hapsburg domination. These grapes create a fresh wine characterized by the unique perfume that underlines hints of exotic fruits, yellow pepper, tomato leaves and mint. The wine-making considers the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is in steel containers at a controlled temperature. In addition, by 6 months ageing on lees, in steel. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.

Colour: Straw yellow with light greenish hues.
Nose: Varietal, complex, exotic, refined, captivating, notes of passion fruit, kiwi, lantana, tomato leaf, boxwood and sage; also hints of yellow pepper, citron, anise, nettles integrated with mineral notes.
Palate: Full, crisp, harmonious; exciting varietal sensations. Long and also vibrant aftertaste.
Food Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif, Sauvignon is also an outstanding partner for asparagus, vegetable soups, creamed pulses and marinated fish.
