Hakkaisan Tokubetsu Honjyozo Sake is founded in 1922. This classic sake is easy to drink, with a smooth, dry, refined rice flavour. Versatile at various temperatures, this sake is refreshing when chilled, food-friendly at room temperature and really opens up once gently warmed.
Situated at the foot of Mount Hakkai in Niigata, the spring water flows from the mountain used to produce sake. The guiding principles of the brewery to produce the finest sake, so that people will never tire of it. Applying the highest standards of production to all sakes, it achieves the smooth wonderfully pure and mellow flavors of Hakkaisan sake. In addition, the Brewery insists on producing in small batches, using hand-made koji and slow fermentation at low temperatures.
