Livio Felluga Sauvignon is a variety originally from France, introduced in Fruili during the Hapsburg domination. Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this white wine is refreshing and captivating. A straw yellow with light greenish hues. It has a generously wide, yet distinctive range of aromas. With notes of exotic fruit, yellow pepper, tomato leaf, mint and box hedge. And also hints of yellow pepper, citron, anise, nettles integrated with mineral notes. It is full, crisp and harmonious on the palate, with exciting varietal sensations. It produces a long and also vibrant aftertaste.
The process of producing this wine involves the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is in steel containers at a controlled temperature. In addition, traditional wine-making technique of ageing on lees in steel is employed for six months. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.
